Opening Remarks:
Barbara Carroll stated that Mary Blair would serve as interim Vice Chair until a special election in September to serve remaining term of replaced member. Dwight’s new representative, Doug Hausladen, was introduced and sworn in by Corporation Counsel Roderick Williams. A. B. Agenda Review
Motion to accept agenda - Bob Spirito, seconded by Reverend Johnson; unanimous approval.
C. Review of Minutes Motion to accept minutes - Bob Spirito, seconded by Reverend Johnson; unanimous approval.
D. Internal Affairs Statistical Report Captain Peterson reported that seventeen cases, 12-C cases & 5-I cases, were opened in June and four cases were closed in May.
E. Internal Affairs (IA) Remarks . There was a personnel change: Alberta Norris was transferred to the Chief's office and Cindy Amatruda was transferred to Internal Affairs.
F. Open Floor Barbara Carroll introduced and gave background for guest, William Tocchi, a possible replacement for the East Rock Management Team representative.
G. Subcommittee Reports – NACOLE/BOPC/By Laws/Policy& Procedures None
H. Unfinished Business Barbara Carroll asked for volunteers to serve on the By Laws Committee. New By Laws Committee: Robert Spirito, Wayne Hobbs, Mary Blair, Kathleen Smith-Bogan Policy & Procedures Committee will set up a meeting with Reginald Thomas regarding Case Review Forms.
I. New Business Nominations for Vice Chair will be accepted at the August meeting; voting will be held at the September meeting.
Motion to adjourn made by Mary Blair; seconded by Maureen O’Sullivan; approved unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 P.M.
The next regular monthly meeting of the Civilian Review Board is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2009, at NHPD, One Union Avenue, 3rd Floor Conference Room, 6:00 p.m..
